Types of Work at Pilates House

At Pilates House we specialize in tailoring the Pilates method to the individual needs of whomever we're working with. Whether looking for a fitness regimen to change your body shape, strengthening through the stages of pregnancy, healing after an injury or from chronic pain, or for a feeling of deeper connectedness and ease within your body, we offer a variety of services to help you. 

Pilates Private or Duet

These sessions are designed with your needs in mind. After you have discussed your history with your teacher and have done a postural assessment the teacher will design a workout and future program that is right for you.

Typically, you will begin with Pilates basics and begin to learn the Pilates repertoire. But the teacher may also pull from other complimentary techniques to accomplish your goals. You will work on releasing connective tissue, strengthening the body in balance, and stretching restricted areas. Special training and consideration are given for individuals with Osteoporosis, Pregnancy, Menopause, Scoliosis and Arthritis.

 Yamuna® Foot Fitness 

And for those who care about their feet as much as the rest of their body, we offer private foot work to help strengthen and realign the bones of the feet. Created by Yamuna Zake this practice can help you to connect to your foundation for better Pilates, better sports, and better posture!

As a certified Yamuna practitioner, I offer a private foot fitness session which involves a thorough foot assessment and regularly scheduled private sessions to learn how to retrain the feet. 


First session is 55 minutes.

Follow-ups are 30 minutes.

20 minute add on sessions can be added to prior to regularly scheduled Pilates sessions.

Pre-Natal and Post-Natal Pilates

If you are pregnant now, or have been before, you know all about the changes that happen to the body physically and emotionally. Pilates can help to bring balance to all of the postural changes as well as set up a strong foundation to return to your pre-birth fitness level.

Besides just the physical characteristics, Pilates will help with all of the body’s systems - circulatory, lymphatic, respiratory, and digestive - ensuring that they are functioning efficiently to help you and the growing baby.

The focus on breathing and learning how to relax can also make the actual childbirth easier.
